Cate and Rob

April 17, 2010

Talk about a fun couple – Cate and Rob know how to plan a wedding and reception so everyone feels welcome, has fun and, of course, has some good food in which to partake.

Nearly two and one half years after they met on Thanksgiving Eve, Cate and Rob tied the knot at St. Peter Catholic Church in Kirkwood on a beautiful spring day. Their reception, however, was an event that none of their guests will soon forget.

The theme of Cate and Rob’s reception was “Good Food, Good People and a Good Time.”

Every guest was provided with a custom bib – and they needed one. The menu consisted of BBQ chicken, ribs, beef brisket, corn on the cob and mashed potatoes. And, Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce graced every table. Dessert was an assortment of pies, torts and cakes.

“Our wedding day was truly quite perfect,” Cate says. “On top of having a gorgeous day, we were really thankful for be able to share our special day with all of our family and friends. Everyone had such a great time.”

Cate and Rob had a great idea, and it yielded the desired result: If you serve informal food, you give everyone permission to be themselves and have a great time.

“We’ve were told by many of our guests that ours was the best reception they’d ever attended,” Cate adds. “My parents received thank you notes from some guests just for being invited.”

We are so happy that we choose Bernie Elking Photography to capture our day. Paul did an amazing job. He and Beezley were awesome to work with; we consider them family. Paul was with us every step of that day, which was a huge help. We have recommended them to everybody. Our guests were so impressed by the photos and the service overall. Thanks for making our day extra special!

Love,

Cate and Rob Luth
